Welcome to everyone!!! Sorry this entry ended up being posted so late but I was in a panic about getting ready for the Universal Light Expo this last weekend and just did not have the time to post. Thanks to all who stopped by at the show. It was a wonderful weekend, energizing and enlightening. It was definitely a worthwhile weekend and if you missed it, you might want to start making plans for next year. The Universal Light Expo is always the second weekend of the month of October and you can get more information at Universal Light Expo Well...on to this month's Gemstone List.
OCTOBER GEMSTONES
Wow…the year is going by so fast…is it age or is it the quickening of the total consciousness? Whatever one believes, doesn’t really matter…it is truly a matter of perspective. And on with the October Gemstones list…. Pink Tourmaline--Connects to creativity, new ideas, maintaining the connection between the self and “All That Is”. Works with the Crown Opal-- This crystal is good for emotional healing as well as helping one to look within. The superstition about Opals being bad luck stems from the fragile nature of the un-stabilized crystal. Some forms of Opal which do not exhibit the flashy colors often seen in the Australian Opal, are not as fragile. The Opals with the flashy colors are most often doublets or triplets which means that they have a thin layer of another stone either on top of or under or both the actual thin layer of Opal to help prevent the cracking of the Opal should it dry out. That is one reason you will see the raw Opals in bottle of water to keep them moist. Turquoise--This is a great stone for empowerment and the Throat Chakra. It is a stone honored by those of Native American origin/descent or those who have had past lives in that role. It is also one of those stones which is often imitated by dying other stones to the color needed…particularly Howlite. It is a relatively soft stone and also needs some stabilization at times. Aids with increasing communication as well as elevating all chakra energies to a higher level. Good for increasing the connection between the physical world and the spiritual world. This is also a protective stone.
Malachite--One of the tireless healing stones…almost like the aspirin of the stone world…very good for all areas of healing. It should be smudge cleansed after deliberate healing usage due to it’s slightly soft nature. A quick rinse with water is fine but be sure not to let it soak. It has a copper content which is a high conductor of energy. (Pictured with this column is a mixed necklace which features Malachite as well as Mother-of-Pearl and a Natural Shell to aid with the smoother flow of healing with compassion. Aids with broken bones and nervous problems. Soothing and the rose color Zircon works with the Heart Chakra.
